Rebecca Esses is the Managing Director of the OU Center for Communal Research. She supports all aspects of the Center’s research agenda, primarily serving as a liaison between the CCR and all its participants and communal partners.
Before coming to the Center, Rebecca served as Development Manager of the OU Department of Institutional Advancement, where she supported the work of the development staff through running training sessions, mentorship programs, and originating the “Seeing Is Believing” Initiative, a series of staff trips that illustrated the impact and value of the OU’s many programs. “The best thing about managing relationships,” says Rebecca, “is that you’re constantly meeting new people. I like building strong connections with people wherever I go.”
Born and bred in Brooklyn, NY, Rebecca is a graduate of the Yeshiva of Flatbush and received her bachelor’s degree from Brooklyn College. Rebecca is a foodie who enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
